According to a September 10 filing, Metaplanet Inc. (TYO: 3350, OTCQX: MTPLF) set the issue price for its international share offering at ¥553 per share, raising ¥212.9 billion gross (¥205.4 billion net) from the sale of 385 million new shares. This translates to $1.4 billion.

The international offering reflects the board’s August 27 resolution and will settle on September 17. ¥183.7 billion is earmarked for spot purchases of bitcoin between September and October 2025.
The remaining ¥20.4 billion will fund its Bitcoin income-generation business of trading BTC options. Metaplanet generated ¥1.9 billion in revenue from that segment in Q2 FY2025. Following the offering, Metaplanet’s total shares outstanding will rise to 1.14 billion.
Metaplanet currently holds 20,000 BTC, recently overtaking Riot as the sixth largest public bitcoin treasury company.
