Trump's social media company announces five new America First-themed ETFs

Trump Media and Technology Group (NASDAQ:DJT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DJT]), the social media platform operator owned by U.S. President Donald Trump, announced [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20227899-trump-media-announces-filing-of-registration-statement-for-five-america-first-themed-equity] on Wednesday the filing of an initial registration statement for five America First-themed exchange-traded funds.

Shares were +0.24% pre-market to $16.94.

Yorkville America Equities has filed the initial registration statement for the ETFs with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

DJT, Yorkville Acquisition (YORK), and Crypto.com had announced [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4489166-trump-media-yorkville-cryptocom-announce-agreement-to-establish-cronos-treasury-company] a business combination agreement last month to establish a digital asset treasury company.

The new ETFs are Truth Social American Icons ETF, Truth Social American Security & Defense ETF, Truth Social American Next Frontiers ETF, Truth Social American Energy Security ETF, and Truth Social American Red State REITs ETF.

The ETFs are expected to launch later this year, and shares will be listed on NYSE Arca.

The new ETFs build on the digital asset ETF filings made with the SEC in June [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4458378-trump-media-files-for-bitcoin-and-ether-etf] and July [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4465898-trump-media-makes-third-crypto-etf-push-with-fund-targeting-mostly-bitcoin], and will be collectively known as the "Truth Social Funds".
