Shares of Golar LNG (NASDAQ:GLNG [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GLNG]) rose 1.4% as regular trading started Thursday after the company posted second-quarter earnings and revenue above Wall Street expectations and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 a share.

The liquefied natural gas infrastructure company reported net income attributable to Golar of $15.6 million, or $0.27 a share, for the quarter ended June 30, topping analyst forecasts of $0.23 a share.

Total operating revenue rose 17% from a year earlier to $75.7 million, ahead of the $71 million consensus estimate. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization came in at $49.3 million.

The results reflected a series of major contract wins and operational milestones. Golar secured two 20-year floating LNG charters with Argentina’s Southern Energy (OTCQX:SOUTF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOUTF]) (SOU:CA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOU:CA]) for the FLNG Hilli and the under-conversion MKII FLNG, together adding $13.7 billion to its earnings backlog. The company also reached commercial operations on its FLNG Gimi with BP (BP [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BP]) and is progressing work on the MKII project, slated for delivery in late 2027.

The board approved a $0.25 per share dividend payable on or around Sept. 2 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 26.

The company highlighted the company’s growing contracted cash flows, commodity-linked upside and potential synergies from deploying two FLNG units in Argentina’s San Matías Gulf.

Golar (NASDAQ:GLNG [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GLNG]) ended the quarter with $891 million in total cash and a net debt position of $1.16 billion. The company said it is exploring opportunities to optimize financing for its existing assets and is evaluating additional FLNG growth projects.
