Walmart raised its forecast for the fiscal year, but the stock fell in premarket trading Thursday after the retail giant’s earnings fell slightly short of Wall Street expectations. Adjusted earnings per share were softer than Wall Street was projecting, coming in at 68 cents a share compared to estimates for 73 cents. The adjusted figure excludes one-time gains on equity and other invested, charges related to certain legal matters, and restructuring charges, Walmart said.
