Australia-based Canva has started an employee stock sale that values the company at $42B as of August, marking a 30% increase from its $32B valuation in 2024, _Bloomberg_ reported.
The employees can sell stock to new and existing investors, including major firms like Fidelity Management & Research Company and JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s asset management arm.
“This round has been significantly oversubscribed,” Canva COO and co-founder Cliff Obrecht said, according to the report [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-08-20/canva-begins-share-sale-at-42-billion-valuation-in-road-to-ipo]. “The overwhelming demand from both new and existing investors is a huge vote of confidence in our momentum and the scale of what still lies ahead.”
The graphic design platform provides tools for creating social media graphics, presentations, postcards, promotional merchandise, and websites. It now reports over 240M monthly active users and generates an annualized revenue of approximately $3.3B.
