Fannie Mae hires Tri Pointe's Hamara and adds him to the board

Fannie Mae (OTCQB:FNMA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FNMA]), the mortgage giant under U.S. government conservatorship, named Brandon Hamara, [https://seekingalpha.com/filing/10508732]currently a vice president at homebuilderTriPointe Homes (TPH [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TPH]) to Fannie's board, the company said on Wednesday. He'll join the company as senior vice president and head of operations for single-family and multifamily with a start date in November 2025.

Hamara's new position will "further effectuate homebuilding in our great country," Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte said [https://x.com/pulte/status/1975577142386643208]in a social media post. "In my view, it will take somebody with deep understanding of homebuilding in order to get homebuilding going again."

In a filing, Fannie Mae (OTCQB:FNMA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FNMA]) disclosed that Hamara's total annual target compensation will be $1.9M, consisting of a base salary of $525K, fixed deferred salary of $805K, and at-risk deferred salary of $570K. He'll also get a sign-on bonus of $270K to compensate for compensation he will forfeit by leaving his employer. The bonus will be be paid in two installments, with a first payment of $180K as soon as practicable after his start date and a second installment of $90K a year later.
