Canaan mines fewer bitcoins in September

Canaan (NASDAQ:CAN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CAN]) said [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20262131-canaan-inc-provides-september-2025-bitcoin-production-and-mining-operation-updates] on Friday that the crypto miner mined 92 bitcoins in September, compared to [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20224901-canaan-inc-provides-august-2025-bitcoin-production-and-mining-operation-updates] 98 in August.

Shares were +4.10% pre-market to $1.27.

The month-end bitcoins and ethereum owned by the company reached 1,582 BTC and 2,830 ETH.

Operating hashrate at the end of September reached 7.84 EH/s. Deployed hashrate was 9.30 EH/s.

The results were driven largely by continued progress across Canaan's U.S. and African sites.
