* Chinese EV maker Xpeng (NYSE:XPEV [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/XPEV]) is recalling 47,490 P7+ sedans, affecting over 70% of owners, due to a steering defect that presents a safety risk.
* Some of the cars, produced between Aug. 20 last year and April 27 may see the steering fault warning indicator light come on and then experience a steering failure due to a flaw in the sensor wiring harness, a statement [https://www.samrdprc.org.cn/qczh/gnzhqc/202509/t20250911_114186.html] released by China’s State Administration for Market Regulation on Friday said.
* Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co. will replace the improved steering gear assembly for vehicles within the recall scope free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
