Amazon, NBA unveil partnership cloud, AI partnership

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AMZN]) Web Services announced a new multi-year partnership with the NBA on Wednesday, to bring artificial intelligence-powered stats to broadcasts.

The duo will launch NBA Inside the Game, powered by AWS, which will “help fans dive deeper into the games, teams, and players they follow,” AWS said in a statement. The platform will be available across all NBA digital channels including the NBA App, NBA.com, and the league’s social platforms. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.

As part of the agreement, Amazon Web Services will be the official cloud partner of the NBA and its affiliate leagues, including the WNBA, NBA G League, Basketball Africa League, and NBA Take-Two Media.

“At AWS, we’re excited by the NBA’s vision to push the boundaries of what’s possible in sports,” said AWS executive Francessca Vasquez in the statement [https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/aws/nba-aws-cloud-ai-partnership-basketball-innovation]. “This partnership will showcase how cloud and AI can reimagine the game of basketball—from generating new insights to creating experiences that bring fans closer to the game they love.”

The 2025-2026 season marks the first time that NBA games will be shown on Amazon Prime as part of a previously announced [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4127917-nba-rejects-warner-bros-discovery-on-deal-to-go-with-amazon] 11-year deal between the two. Prime Video will have 66 regular season games and will be the strategic partner for the NBA League Pass subscription.
