Cboe plans to launch futures and options on new Magnificent 10 index

Derivatives and securities exchange network Cboe Global Markets (BATS:CBOE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CBOE]) announced [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20228270-cboe-plans-to-launch-cash-settled-futures-and-options-on-new-index-tracking-tech-and-growth] on Wednesday plans to launch futures and options on its new Magnificent 10 index.

The Cboe Magnificent 10 Index is set to launch soon, and is designed to measure the price return of 10 U.S.-listed large-cap stocks of technology and growth-orientated companies.

The cash-settled futures and options on the new index will trade on a nearly 24x5 basis.

MGTEN options, to be listed and traded on Cboe Exchange, will be European-style, eliminating physical delivery and the potential for early exercise. MGTEN futures will be listed and traded on Cboe Futures Exchange.

Both futures and options will be cleared by the Options Clearing Corporation.
