Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PSX]) has reduced gasoline production at its 258K bbl/day Bayway refinery in New Jersey after a fire near the plant's gasoline producing unit, Reuters reported Thursday.

An ancillary piece of equipment of the refinery's fluid catalytic cracking unit caught fire and led to the production outage, but the cause of the fire is not yet clear, according to the report [https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/phillips-66-reduces-gasoline-output-bayway-refinery-after-fire-sources-say-2025-08-14/], which also said the refinery is expected to resolve the issue in the coming days and return to full production.

Bayway produces ~155K bbl/day of gasoline and is one of the largest suppliers of fuel on the U.S. east coast.

The refinery was partially shut last month after storms caused a power outage at the plant, resulting in a brief spike in prices for refined products at the New York Harbor.
