Green Plains starts carbon capture operations at Nebraska plant

Green Plains (NASDAQ:GPRE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GPRE]) said late Tuesday it started [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20265797-green-plains-announces-startup-of-carbon-capture-system-at-york-facility] carbon capture and storage operations at its York, Nebraska, facility, marking a milestone in the expansion of its carbon capture capabilities.

Green Plains (NASDAQ:GPRE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GPRE]) said the CCS equipment is now fully operational and delivering significant volumes of biogenic carbon dioxide to its Tallgrass Trailblazer pipeline for permanent sequestration.

"Bringing carbon capture online at York reflects the continued progress we’re making in executing our carbon strategy," Green Plains (GPRE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GPRE]) CEO Chris Osowski said.

The company said it remains on track to bring additional CCS systems online at its Central City and Wood River facilities in Nebraska during Q4 2025.
