Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic will retire at the end of his term on Feb. 28, 2026, after about nine years in the role, the Atlanta Fed said [https://www.atlantafed.org/news/pressreleases/2025/11/12/atlanta-fed-president-and-ceo-to-retire]on Wednesday.
Bostic started his tenure as head of the Atlanta Fed on June 5, 2017.
The regional Fed bank's board of directors will form a search committee comprised of non-banking members to conduct a nationwide search for the next president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Atlanta Fed First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Cheryl Venable will assume the duties of president on an interim basis until a new president is appointed if a successor isn't appointed by Feb. 28, 2026.
