Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) just revealed that Prime Video with ads has crossed a major milestone 315 million monthly viewers around the world. That's a big leap from 200 million just over a year ago, showing how fast the ad-supported version of Prime Video is gaining traction.

The update came during Amazon's unBoxed event in Nashville, where executives described the growth as a game-changer for both streaming and advertising. By giving viewers the option to watch shows, movies, and live sports with ads instead of paying for the premium plan, Amazon is drawing a much bigger audience and unlocking new ad revenue opportunities.
Jeremy Helfand, VP of Prime Video Advertising, called it a transformative milestone, adding that the service now reaches viewers in 16 countries. For investors, it's another sign that Amazon's streaming arm is evolving into a major global ad business one that's already competing with YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu for attention (and dollars).
