Gunnison Copper appoints Robert Winton as COO

Gunnison Copper (OTCQB:GCUMF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GCUMF]), which recently established itself as America's newest copper producer, announced the promotion [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20261643-gunnison-copper-promotes-robert-winton-to-chief-operating-officer] of Robert Winton to the role of Chief Operating Officer ((COO)), effective immediately.

Winton has been an integral part of the company since August 2020, previously serving as Senior Vice President of Operations and General Manager. He is credited with playing a pivotal role in the successful transformation of the Johnson Camp Mine from a state of care-and-maintenance into a fully operational site.

In his new COO capacity, Winton will continue to manage the critical partnership with Nuton LLC (a Rio Tinto venture), targeting first copper production using bio-leaching technologies later this year.
