Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SBUX#hasComeFromMpArticle=false#source=section%3Amain_content%7Cbutton%3Abody_link%7Cfirst_level_url%3Anews]) snapped six straight sessions of losses as the stock closed 2% higher at $80.03 on Monday.
The coffee chain lost more than 9% in the last six trading sessions. SBUX is down 4% over the past one month. The stock closed 1.65% lower, at $78.46 on Friday.
As per the Seeking Alpha's Quant Ratings, SBUX has a Hold [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SBUX/ratings/quant-ratings#hasComeFromMpArticle=false#source=section%3Amain_content%7Cbutton%3Abody_link%7Cfirst_level_url%3Anews] rating with a score of 2.69 out of 5. The company received an A for profitability, but a D- grade in growth, and D+ in valuation, momentum and revisions dragged down the rating.

“Starbucks faces persistent margin pressure as coffee prices soar 300% from 2020 lows due to tariffs and supply issues,” noted Seeking Alpha analyst Kevin George, rating [https://seekingalpha.com/article/4826592-starbucks-margin-problems-brewing-with-elevated-coffee-prices] it as Sell.
George added that the coffee chain is navigating operational headwinds, including store closures, a costly turnaround plan, and a potential sale of its China operations amid rising competition.
Turning to the Wall Street community [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SBUX/ratings/sell-side-ratings#hasComeFromMpArticle=false#source=section%3Amain_content%7Cbutton%3Abody_link%7Cfirst_level_url%3Anews], 17 out of 35 analysts gave SBUX a Buy and above rating. 15 analysts have given the stock a Hold recommendation, while three recommended Strong Sell.
Starbucks shares have declined nearly 12.7% so far this year, compared to over 11% gain in the broader benchmark index.
