C.J. Polito, Vinson & Elkins New Partner — Energy Regulation
By Karen Roman
Vinson & Elkins said it welcomed C.J. Polito as partner in its Energy Regulatory Practice in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Polito previously served at Sidley Austin and has experience in wholesale power transactions, regulations, and compliance both in the electricity and natural gas markets, the firm stated.
“His addition comes at a time of growth for the practice, amid a heightened regulatory focus, increased investments in traditional and emerging energy sources, and mounting power demands driven by data center developments,” said Keith Fullenweider, Chair at Vinson & Elkins.
Mr. Polito holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Duke University, where he was an editor of the Duke Law Journal, it said.
Vinson & Elkins Energy Regulatory Practice is recognized by Chambers USA, Electricity (Regulatory & Litigation) (Nationwide) (2023–2025).
