* Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. government is not currently considering buying a stake in Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]).

"I don't think Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) needs financial support. So, you know, that seems, not on the table right now, but could there be other industries, where you know, that we're reshaping, something like shipbuilding," Bessent told Fox Business [https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/bessent-says-trump-exploring-stakes-other-industries-after-intel-deal-rules-out-nvidia] on Wednesday. "And these are critical industries that we have to, we have to be self-sufficient in the United States."

Last week, the Trump administration announced that the government plans to invest $11.1 billion in Intel [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4488523-intel-confirms-massive-11_1b-investment-by-us-government] (INTC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/INTC]), which would make it the company's largest investor with an estimated 9.9% stake.

* Meanwhile, GlobalFoundries (NASDAQ:GFS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GFS]) CFO John Hollister said the company's funding under the CHIPS Act is still intact and doesn't involve the U.S. government taking an equity stake.

* Humain, a data center provider backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, is aiming to become a powerhouse in the AI market.
