Akamai expands partnership with Apiiro for comprehensive application security

Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ:AKAM [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AKAM]) has announced a significant expansion of its partnership [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20252428-akamai-and-apiiro-expand-partnership-to-deliver-comprehensive-application-security-posture] with Apiiro, the leading agentic application security platform.

This enhanced collaboration brings together the power of Akamai's application security platform with Apiiro's agentic Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform.

The goal is to help enterprises secure applications throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

This combined platform, leveraging Akamai API Security and App & API Protector, offers: full API inventory and discovery, visibility across any environment, and posture management and runtime protection.

The two companies initially partnered in 2024 to provide visibility into APIs within source code.

By integrating Akamai's API security strengths with Apiiro’s platform, enterprises can now address challenges like software supply chain risk and fragmented security tools.
