Forvis Mazars appoints new partners across UK offices

Professional services network Forvis Mazars has announced the appointment of ten new partners in its UK offices, investing in its workforce.

Among the newly appointed partners, four have begun their career at the firm.

The new partners bring expertise across a diverse range of services, including audit, tax, and financial planning.

Karishma Merchant, who will oversee Infrastructure and Energy sector, has more than 20 years of experience and joined Forvis in 2021.

Josh Thorneycroft returned in 2022 to lead Debt Advisory, aiming to expand the service through recruitment and cross-service collaboration. Thorneycroft initially joined the firm in 2013.

Paul Simmons, who will now lead the financial planning team, is tasked with focussing on the Private Client business in London.

Mark Saldua is stepping up as a partner to lead regulatory liaison, internal quality monitoring and the audit impairment centre of excellence.

Robbie White will head the Data Analytics Hub, delivering custom analytics and automation solutions.

Saldua and White joined in 2022 as Audit Quality director and Innovation and Digital Skills director, respectively.

Mandi Dosanjh, a new addition to the team, will concentrate on audit (POB) services.

In the Midlands, Richard Tidball, who joined the company in 2013, will lead corporate tax services, with a national focus on restructuring, insolvency, and the non-profit sector.

Tommy Cooke in Milton Keynes continues to lead large and listed audits, aiming to further grow the MK audit practice.

Simon Withington in Newcastle will spearhead Technology Assurance within the Consulting practice, focusing on the national Technology and Digital Consulting strategy.

Cooke and Withington joined the firm in 2009 and 2021, respectively.

Finally, in Scotland, Sean Cockburn will work on expanding the International Private Client business and growing the Scottish practice, with expertise in international private client matters and cross-border taxation.
