Agriculture Commodities Rise on Weather Concerns

Chicago Board of Trade agricultural commodities rose Wednesday on weather concerns.

The most active corn contract rose 6.25 cents to 7.3325 dollars per bushel. The most active wheat contract rose 11.75 cents to 7.175 dollars per bushel. The most active soybean contract rose 14.75 cents to 14.6025 dollars per bushel.

Analysts said that weather concerns are the main reason for the rise in agricultural commodities as dry weather in the U.S. and South America is threatening production.

Technical buying also contributed to the rise.
