US Markets Closed for Thanksgiving

U.S. stock, bond, and commodity markets are closed today, November 24, 2006, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular trading hours will resume on Friday, November 25, but with an early closing time.

Market Schedule

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the NASDAQ Stock Market will both be closed for the entirety of Thursday. On Friday, both exchanges will open at their normal time but will close at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

Bond Market

The U.S. bond market, managed by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), will also be closed on Thursday. On Friday, a shortened trading session will occur, closing at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

Commodities Market

The commodities market, including trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), follows a similar schedule. Trading will be closed on Thursday and will resume on Friday with a shortened session.

Investors are advised to plan their trading activities accordingly, taking the holiday closures into consideration.
