Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Agriculture, Basic Industry and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.62% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Equity Development Investment (JK:GSMF), which rose 33.93% or 19.00 points to trade at 75.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sumber Sinergi Makmur PT Tbk (JK:IOTF) added 33.73% or 28.00 points to end at 111.00 and Pt Topindo Solusi Komunika (JK:TOSK) was up 30.00% or 15.00 points to 65.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nusatama Berkah Tbk PT (JK:NTBK), which fell 14.93% or 10.00 points to trade at 57.00 at the close. Griptha Putra Persada Tbk PT (JK:GRPH) declined 14.44% or 13.00 points to end at 77.00 and Trisula Textile Industries Tbk PT (JK:BELL) was down 14.29% or 10.00 points to 60.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 353 to 311 and 177 ended unchanged.
Shares in Equity Development Investment (JK:GSMF) rose to 52-week highs; up 33.93% or 19.00 to 75.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.22% or 0.14 to $62.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $65.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 11.28 to trade at $3,397.02 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.30% to 16,117.80, while AUD/IDR fell 0.57% to 10,532.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 97.68.
