Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 3.62% or 0.28 points to trade at 8.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 3.55% or 0.35 points to end at 10.07 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 3.49% or 0.50 points to 14.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.08% or 0.75 points to trade at 68.45 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.96% or 0.14 points to end at 14.98 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.29% or 0.07 points to 24.37.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 68 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.29% or 0.07 to 24.37.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.31% or 0.87 to $65.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.44% or 0.90 to hit $61.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 11.58 to trade at $3,366.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 98.07.
