Indonesia stocks higher at close of trade; IDX Composite Index up 1.02%

Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Infrastructure and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 1.02% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Centratama Telekomunikasi Ind (JK:CENT), which rose 35.00% or 35.00 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Acset Indonusa Tbk (JK:ACST) added 34.44% or 31.00 points to end at 121.00 and Jaya Swarasa Agung PT (JK:TAYS) was up 28.85% or 15.00 points to 67.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Central Omega Resources Tbk PT (JK:DKFT), which fell 12.96% or 105.00 points to trade at 705.00 at the close. Bank Mayapada Internasional (JK:MAYA) declined 11.54% or 30.00 points to end at 230.00 and Indomobil Multi Jasa Tbk (JK:IMJS) was down 12.26% or 38.00 points to 272.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 443 to 254 and 151 ended unchanged.

Shares in Centratama Telekomunikasi Ind (JK:CENT) rose to 52-week highs; up 35.00% or 35.00 to 135.00.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.31% or 0.81 to $62.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.17% or 0.77 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 5.57 to trade at $3,364.27 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was up 0.33% to 16,265.70, while AUD/IDR fell 0.20% to 10,455.13.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 98.19.
