Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Food and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 2.36% or 4.50 points to trade at 195.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Orange Polska SA (WA:OPL) added 1.43% or 0.13 points to end at 9.36 and Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) was up 1.35% or 0.66 points to 49.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 2.65% or 4.70 points to trade at 172.40 at the close. Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) declined 2.14% or 0.48 points to end at 21.93 and Text SA (WA:TXTP) was down 2.03% or 1.15 points to 55.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 299 to 218 and 102 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.41% or 0.87 to $62.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.40% or 0.92 to hit $66.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 27.20 to trade at $3,385.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.30% to 4.25, while USD/PLN rose 0.20% to 3.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.04.
