Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 5.33% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) added 3.41% or 0.14 points to end at 4.25 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was up 3.31% or 0.16 points to 4.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr), which fell 2.33% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.96 at the close. Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) declined 1.82% or 0.85 points to end at 45.75 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was down 1.40% or 0.28 points to 19.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 76 to 55 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.41% or 0.14 to 4.25.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.78 to $3,387.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.25 to hit $62.96 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.28 to trade at $67.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 98.44.
