Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:ASURB), which rose 2.48% or 14.95 points to trade at 618.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES) added 2.38% or 12.75 points to end at 548.19 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC) was up 2.32% or 4.58 points to 202.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO), which fell 2.57% or 0.54 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB) declined 1.27% or 5.96 points to end at 463.90 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA) was down 1.25% or 0.14 points to 11.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 105 to 104 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 5.10 to $3,383.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.24% or 0.78 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $67.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.11% to 18.75, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 21.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 98.54.
