Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.52%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Real Estate Investments and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.52% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 9.89% or 0.43 points to trade at 4.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 6.64% or 7.00 points to end at 112.50 and Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAGEN) was up 4.76% or 2.26 points to 49.72 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tureks Turizm Tasimacilik AS (IS:TUREX), which fell 8.33% or 0.85 points to trade at 9.35 at the close. Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH) declined 4.39% or 5.80 points to end at 126.20 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was down 4.08% or 0.32 points to 7.52.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 302 to 279 and 10 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.22% or 41.12 to $3,422.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $67.64 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.21% to 41.00, while EUR/TRY rose 1.03% to 48.12.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.99% at 97.54.
