Altice USA hits highs on report it's working to revive talks with creditors

Altice USA (NYSE:ATUS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ATUS]) neared session highs, gaining 11%, at least partly after a report that it's trying to restart talks with creditors to cut its $26 billion in debt.

Altice (NYSE:ATUS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ATUS]) has switched advisors and is now working with law firm Kirkland & Ellis and investment bank Evercore as it tries to cut its debt burden, according to a Bloomberg report [https://news.bloomberglaw.com/bankruptcy-law/altice-usa-switches-advisers-to-revive-debt-reshuffle-talks]on Tuesday, which cited people familiar with the matter.

Altice previously worked with Moelis & Co. and law firm Ropes & Gray. Talks between Altice USA (ATUS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ATUS]) and its creditors were halted in April due to market volatility.
