Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/WDAY]) announced a collaboration with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MSFT]) and several AI solutions for customers and partners.

Workday said [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20233733-workday-and-microsoft-to-deliver-unified-ai-agent-experience-for-the-enterprise] customers who build AI agents using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio will be able to register and manage them within Workday Agent System of Record, or ASOR.

The integration between Workday ASOR and Microsoft Entra Agent ID will help ensure every agent built on Microsoft agent building platforms has a verified identity and the right business context to operate safely and effectively across the business, according to the company.

"Through our strategic partnership with Microsoft, we're giving organizations one secure system to manage both their people and their AI agents – so they can focus on results, not complexity," said Gerrit Kazmaier, president of product and technology, Workday.

Separately, Workday announced [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20233843-workday-unveils-workday-build-giving-developers-the-tools-to-build-the-future-of-work] Workday Build, a new developer platform through which customers and partners can create, share, and scale AI-powered solutions directly on Workday.

Workday Build opens access to the company's applications, data, and AI in new ways, empowering customers, partners, and developers to customize Workday, extend its capabilities, and deliver AI innovations faster, the company added.

Workday Build will also feature the new Workday Flowise Agent Builder, a low-code tool that makes it simple to build, deploy, and manage custom AI agents within Workday.

The company noted that Workday Flowise Agent Builder will be available to customers that have Workday Extend Professional in the first half of 2026.

In addition, Workday announced Workday Data Cloud, a new data layer that will help organizations unlock the strategic value of their HR and finance data by connecting it to their existing analytics platforms and operational systems.

Workday also announced that it is collaborating [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20233919-workday-introduces-workday-data-cloud-to-unlock-the-power-of-people-and-money-data-and] with Databricks, Salesforce (CRM [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CRM]), and Snowflake (SNOW [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SNOW]) to give customers direct, zero-copy access to their core HR and finance data within the platforms they already use and bring that customer and business data into Workday with the same zero-copy approach.

The company noted that this will eliminate the need for costly data exports, bulky reports, and stale duplicates.

Workday Data Cloud will be available to early adopter customers in the first half of 2026 and generally available later that year, the company added.

Separately, Workday said [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20233878-workday-expands-agent-partner-network-with-new-ventures-partners-to-deliver-enterprise-ready] that more than 15 Workday Ventures portfolio companies have signed on to the Workday Agent Partner Network — joining an ecosystem of partners building AI agents that will connect with ASOR.

By connecting their agents to ASOR, the partners will help ensure their agents are secure and enterprise-ready, according to the company.

The new agents will be available now in the Workday Marketplace.

In addition, Workday announced [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20233908-workday-illuminate-expands-with-new-ai-agents-for-hr-finance-and-industry] new Workday Illuminate agents for HR, Finance, and Industry.

The company said the new agents take on complex processes like performance reviews, workforce planning, and financial close, thus helping organizations work faster.

Separately, Workday said it is acquiring [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4495237-workday-to-acquire-sana-for-11b] Sana, an AI company developing the next generation of enterprise knowledge tools, for about $1.1B.
