Cipher Mining (NASDAQ:CIFR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CIFR]) said Monday that Greg Mumford has been appointed [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20256140-cipher-mining-announces-the-retirement-of-edward-farrell-chief-financial-officer-and-the] incoming chief financial officer, succeeding Ed Farrell, who will become a senior advisor to the data center operator.
Both appointments will take effect upon Farrell’s retirement on Oct. 14.
In his new capacity as senior adviser, Farrell will support the CFO leadership transition and continue to provide guidance to the company.
Mumford was most recently a senior banker in the Digital Assets & Infrastructure Investment Banking group at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he advised on various of M&A and capital markets deals, with a focus on digital infrastructure and industrials.
