Strive shares soar 33% on Monday after Mike Alfred announced stake of over 1 million shares

On 2:56 PM EST on Friday October 24, value investor Mike Alfred announced on X that he had acquired over a million shares of Strive Asset Management (ASST). The initial position amounted to just under $1 million.

Strive leadership then retweeted the post as shown variousSECfilings filed on October 27. ASST shares subsequently rallied and closed the Friday trading session up 27% from the prior day’s close.

On Monday morning, ASST shares jumped another 33% from Friday’s close, reaching $1.47 per share. Since Wednesday October 22, ASST is up 86%, from $0.78 per share.

Mike Alfred is known for his position in IREN, a Bitcoin mining and AI data center company that has risen over 500% YTD, and over 1100% from the lows in April 2025. Recently Alfred joined the Board of digital assets company Bakkt (BKKT). BKKT shares jumped after the announcement. At the time of writing, BKKT has more than doubled since Alfred joined the Board.
