Lemonade, Baldwin Insurance surge, Circle Internet, Upstart drop: week's financials wrap

Much of this week's price action was shaped by another busy round of corporate earnings, in addition to more trade and political developments as the U.S.'s longest-ever government shutdown dragged on.

Lemonade rose the most of any financial stock (with market cap over $2B) for the week ended Nov. 7, 2025, jumping 25% on the heels of a guidance boost [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4515553-lemonade-stock-climbs-after-strong-q3-earnings-drives-guidance-boost] and stronger-than-expected Q3 earnings;

Baldwin Insurance Group (BWIN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BWIN]), which during the week posted Q3 results [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4515038-the-baldwin-insurance-group-non-gaap-eps-of-031-in-line-revenue-of-3654m-beats-by-17m], soared 22%;

Brighthouse Financial (BHF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BHF]) gapped up 16% after Aquarian Capital agreed to buy [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4517306-brighthouse-financial-to-be-acquired-by-aquarian-capital-in-4_1b-deal] the company in a ~$4.1B deal.

Hamilton Lane (HLNE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HLNE]) climbed 15% after posting a double-beat [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4514130-hamilton-lane-gaap-eps-of-1_69-beats-by-0_60-revenue-of-190_88m-beats-by-21_44m] on Q3 results; and

Palomer Holdings (PLMR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PLMR]), which also delivered strongly [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4517931-palomar-holdings-non-gaap-eps-of-2_01-beats-by-0_40-revenue-of-244_66m-beats-by-30_35m] on Q3 earnings and revenue, advanced 12%.

On the top five biggest losers, Circle Internet Group (CRCL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CRCL]), which during the week named Safe [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4503917-circle-taps-safe-as-institutional-custody-partner-for-usdc-stablecoin] an institutional custody solution for its USDC (USDC-USD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/USDC-USD]) stablecoin, shed 19%;

Upstart Holdings (UPST [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/UPST]) tumbled 19%, too, after the lending platform for banks and credit unions issued Q4 guidance [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4514907-upstart-stock-slides-after-soft-q4-guidance-mixed-q3-results-as-loan-originations-climb]lower than the consensus estimates and delivered mixed Q3 results;

Kemper (KMPR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/KMPR]) dropped 17.7% in the same week it fell short of Q3 earnings expectations;

Riot Platforms (RIOT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RIOT]) tumbled 14% after recording a decrease [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4514285-riot-announces-decrease-in-october-bitcoin-production-shares-down]in October bitcoin (BTC-USD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BTC-USD]) production; and

BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BMNR]) slid 13.8% as it continued to grow [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4512948-bitmine-immersion-announces-eth-holdings-reaching-34-million-tokens] its crypto holdings.
