Parker-Hannifin in talks to acquire Filtration Group - report

* Parker-Hannifin (PH [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PH]) is in discussions to purchase Filtration Group from Madison Industries.
* A deal could be announced as soon as this week, and Filtration Group may be valued at nearly $9 billion, including debt in a transaction, according to a Bloomberg report on Monday, which cited people familiar with the matter.
* A transaction hasn't been finalized, and the timing could change, or another suitor could emerge, according to the report.
* Parker-Hannifin, Madison Industries, and Filtration Group didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment from Bloomberg.
