Westlake announces acquisition of ACI/Perplastic Group's compounding solutions business

Westlake Corporation (NYSE:WLK [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/WLK]) has agreed to acquire [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20210971-westlake-announces-acquisition-of-aci-compounding-solutions-business] the global compounding solutions businesses of the ACI/Perplastic Group, for an undisclosed sum.

This strategic move is expected to expand Westlake's market share in specialty materials for the wire and cable sectors.

The acquisition includes ACI's four production facilities located in Mexico, Portugal, Romania, and Tunisia.

ACI is a Portugal-based manufacturer of compounds used in the wire and cable industry, with net sales of approximately €210 million in 2024.

The transaction is expected to close in early 2026.
