European Union approves DoorDash's purchase of Deliveroo

The European Commission approved DoorDash's (NASDAQ:DASH [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DASH]) planned $3.9 billion takeover of Deliveroo (OTCPK:DROOF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DROOF]).

"The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not active in the same or vertically related markets," the antitrust regulator said on its website. [https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/es/mex_25_2046]
