T. Rowe Price partners with World Bank member to launch investment strategy for corporate blue bond market

T. Rowe Price Group (NASDAQ:TROW [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TROW]) has collaborated [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20232021-t-rowe-price-launches-blue-bond-emerging-markets-strategy-to-help-catalyze-finance-for-a] with the World Bank member International Finance Corporation to launch an investment strategy aimed at catalyzing the corporate blue bond market.

The T. Rowe Price Emerging Markets Blue Economy Bond Strategy has secured initial commitments from investors, including the global water solutions company, Xylem, and the team of investors and philanthropists, Builders Vision.

The investment strategy is set to invest in corporate bonds issued by both financial institutions and real-sector companies in emerging markets.

Funding for the T. Rowe Price Emerging Markets Blue Economy Bond Strategy totals more than $200M.

"The debut of T. Rowe Price Blue marks a significant step in addressing the need for sustainable water management and ocean preservation," said Eric Veiel, head of global investments and CIO.
