STORY: Tesla electric vehicles can be leased in the UK for around half the amount it cost a year ago.
That’s according to a Times report on Monday (August 18).
It said Tesla’s been forced to offer discounts of up to 40% to car leasing companies to shift more units.
The discounts are also due to the lack of storage space for Tesla vehicles in the UK, the report said.

Industry data showed Tesla's July sales in the UK fell about 60% to 987 units.
It also showed British new car registrations overall fell about 5% year-on-year in July.
Battery electric vehicles are now projected to account for just under a quarter of new registrations in 2025, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
That’s slightly up from the trade association’s previous forecast. Related Videos
