A new survey suggests that younger Americans are skeptical about their chances of receiving Social Security payments when they retire and are leaning heavily into 401(k)s and personal investments as a result. According to Cerulli, only 5% of Generation Z and 16% of millennials with 401(k)s think Social Security will be their main income source when they stop working. Wells Fargo’s brokerage unit is keeping core aspects of its current compensation plan for financial advisors the same next year, but adding two new bonuses.
