Thoma Bravo is in talks to acquire [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-08-18/thoma-bravo-is-said-in-talks-to-buy-software-firm-dayforce?srnd=homepage-americas] human resources management software provider Dayforce (NYSE:DAY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DAY]) in a deal that could be announced as soon as the coming weeks, Bloomberg reported Sunday.

While discussions are advanced, they could still be delayed or falter and it is possible another bidder may emerge, according to the report.

Dayforce (NYSE:DAY [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/DAY]) shares have slipped ~5% in New York trading over the last 12 months, giving the company a market value of ~$8.4B; with ~$1.2B in debt, the company has an enterprise value of more than $9B, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

Thoma Bravo has remained active in buyouts this year, agreed to buy Boeing's flight navigation unit and other digital assets for $10.6B in April and striking a $2B deal in July to buy restaurant software maker Olo; Bloomberg previously reported the firm has been in talks about a potential takeover of Verint Systems.
