Alaska Airlines IT outage halts flights

U.S. carrier Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ALK]) has grounded all its flights on Thursday as IT outage has impacted operations, marking the third time it has halted its fleet in just over a year.

The ground stop also applies to Alaska Airlines' subsidiary Horizon Air, a Federal Aviation Administration advisory showed.

The airline posted on its social media accounts that a technological issue was affecting flights, forcing the ground stop.

The Seattle based airline grounded all of its flights on 21st July for about three hours due to an IT outage and in April over aircraft system issue.
