Franklin Resources Q4 earnings beat as net outflows ease Y/Y

Franklin Resources (BEN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/BEN]) shares perked up 2% in premarket trading after turning in fiscal Q4 2025 earnings and revenue that topped Wall Street consensus estimates, with long-term net outflows easing from the same period a year ago.

Q4 adjusted EPS [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20298891-franklin-resources-inc-announces-preliminary-fourth-quarter-and-fiscal-year-results] of $0.67, surpassing the $0.59 average analyst estimate, advanced from $0.49 in the earlier quarter and $0.49 in Q3 2024.

Total operating revenue of $2.34B for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2025, also beating the $2.18B expected, increased from $2.06B in the three months ended June 30, 2025, and $2.21B a year before.

Operating expenses climbed to $2.26B from $1.91B in Q2 and dipped from $2.36B in Q3 2024.

Long-term net outflows totaled $11.9B in Q3, including $23.3B of long-term net outflows at Western Asset Management, compared with net outflows of $9.3B in Q2 and net outflows of $31.3B in Q3 2024.

That marks the eighth consecutive quarter of positive net inflows, excluding Western Asset, noted CEO Jenny Johnson. "Importantly, our institutional pipeline of won-but-unfunded mandates remains healthy at $20.4 billion following record fundings in the quarter."

Assets under management stood at $1.66T at Sept. 30, 2025, up 3% from the previous quarter, but down 1% Y/Y.
