Roblox added as a new long idea at Hedgeye

Roblox was added as a new long idea at Hedeye with the potential for the shares to hit $150 to $175 this year in a bullish case.

"We used last week's weakness in the stock price to align our positioning with the persistent strength in our Metaverse Tracker, which suggests further acceleration to 3Q25 bookings and upside to consensus estimates," Hedgeye analyst Andrew Freedman wrote in a note on Sunday.

The Hedgeye long call comes after Hedgey shars fell 6.3% on Friday after multiple reports of backlash against the online gaming platform for not doing enough to protect its young user base against child predators. "Our view is that safety concerns on the platform are valid, but likely overstated by media outlets and politicians looking to score easy points," Freedman added. "The consumer survey that we ran earlier this year indicates that actual RBLX users don't perceive the platform to be markedly less safe than any other gaming space on the internet."
