Gilead is said to seek price hikes for HIV meds supplied for state AIDS drug programs

* Gilead (NASDAQ:GILD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GILD]) wants significant price hikes for several HIV drugs widely distributed by the state AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, a move that has caused concerns among ADAP directors, Stat News reported on Tuesday.
* During its discussions with the state ADAPs, the Foster City, California-based biotech has reportedly sought average price hikes of high single digits as part of a revised agreement set to take effect in January.
* Unnerved by Gilead’s (NASDAQ:GILD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GILD]) potential price hikes, ADAP directors are currently holding discussions with the company, according to the report.
