CoreWeave unveils serverless reinforcement learning capability to build AI agents; stock rises

[Cloud Based Artificial Intelligence Computing Company CoreWeave Has IPO On Nasdaq Exchange]

CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CRWV]) announced the launch of Serverless RL, a fast way to train AI agents using reinforcement learning, or RL.

Shares of the company surged about 9% on Wednesday.

The company said [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20259520-coreweave-launches-first-publicly-available-serverless-reinforcement-learning-capability-to] the first publicly available fully managed RL capability, Serverless RL scales seamlessly to dozens of graphics processing units, or GPUs, requires only a Weights & Biases account and API key to get started, and delivers faster feedback loops with lower barriers to entry for developers.

RL is a type of machine learning process which focuses on decision making by autonomous agents. An autonomous agent is a system that can make decisions and act in response to its environment independent of direct instruction by a human.

The new capability was launched just weeks after CoreWeave’s acquisition of OpenPipe, combining its RL tools with the Weights & Biases AI developer platform, powered by CoreWeave’s AI cloud.

“We are integrating infrastructure, RL frameworks, and developer tools for the AI era to help enterprises of any size unlock the value of AI agents. This sets CoreWeave apart,” said Peter Salanki, co-founder and chief technology officer at CoreWeave.
