Fidelity National, Global Payments stock down amid regulatory update on Issuer Solutions deal

Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE:FIS [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FIS]) announced [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20262073-fis-provides-update-on-regulatory-review-of-issuer-solutions-acquisition-transaction-remains] on Friday a regulatory update relating to its proposed acquisition of Issuer Solutions business from Global Payments (NYSE:GPN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GPN]).

FIS shares were -0.26% Friday morning to $68.40, while GPN was 1.98% down to $85.45.

In April, FIS agreed to sell [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4432036-fis-to-sell-worldpay-stake-to-global-payments-for-66b-to-buy-gpns-issuer-solutions-for-12b] its stake in Worldpay to Global Payments for $6.6B pretax value, and to acquire GPN's Issuer Solutions business for a net purchase price of $12B.

The company is set to refile the UK Merger Notice after proactively identifying additional information to be provided to the UK Competition and Market Authority.

FIS does not expect the move to impact the previously announced projected transaction closing [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4432036-fis-to-sell-worldpay-stake-to-global-payments-for-66b-to-buy-gpns-issuer-solutions-for-12b] timeline of the first half of 2026.
