Nvidia to send over 260,000 GPUs to South Korea

South Korea's government has announced a wide-ranging collaboration with Nvidia to acquire over 260,000 of its most advanced AI GPUs, marking deployment in public and private sector.

"On October 31, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it would establish an ongoing partnership with Nvidia to secure AI infrastructure, strengthen physical AI capabilities, and support startups," The Asia Business Daily reported.

Of these, ~50,000 GPUs will be rapidly supplied to the public sector, including the National AI Computing Center and the development of proprietary AI foundation models. Private companies like Samsung Electronics (OTCPK:SSNLF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SSNLF]), SK (OTCPK:HXSCF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HXSCF]), Hyundai Motor Group, and Naver will utilize over 200,000 GPUs to drive AI in manufacturing.

SK Group is talking with Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) ways to establish a 'Manufacturing AI Startup Alliance' and will set up Asia's first enterprise-led manufacturing AI cloud, the report [https://www.asiae.co.kr/en/article/2025103114475696987]added.

On the same day, Hyundai Motor Group, Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]), and the Ministry of Science and ICT also signed an MoU to position Korea as a leader in physical AI.

"Just as Korea's physical factories have inspired the world with sophisticated ships, cars, chips and electronics, the nation can now produce intelligence as a new export that will drive global transformation," Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang commented, neither deal value nor supply schedule.
