Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) is reportedly looking to go even bigger on its bet in Anthropic, the fast-growing AI startup behind the Claude chatbot and the potential deal could be huge.

Sources told Business Insider that Google is in early talks to increase its investment in Anthropic, in a move that could value the company at more than $350 billion. The discussions are still in the early stages, but insiders say Google is weighing a few options from a formal funding round early next year to a convertible note or even a deeper partnership involving its cloud infrastructure.

Neither side is saying much yet, but this comes just weeks after Google struck a deal giving Anthropic access to up to one million of its TPUs powerful chips used to train and scale large AI models like Claude.

For Google, the move looks like another step to keep pace with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), both of which have gone all-in on OpenAI (OPENAI) and the broader AI boom reshaping Big Tech.
