Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.20%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which rose 1.52% or 1.70 points to trade at 113.70 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 1.36% or 0.39 points to end at 28.98 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 1.33% or 0.54 points to 41.12 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which fell 4.94% or 72.40 points to trade at 1,392.60 at the close. IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) declined 1.31% or 1.24 points to end at 93.50 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) was down 0.69% or 0.85 points to 122.65.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 42 and 14 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.82% or 1.14 to $63.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.66% or 1.09 to hit $66.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 23.13 to trade at $3,385.17 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 98.10.
